Variantes del modelo de Deffuant para dinámica de opinión en poblaciones estructuradas

Abstract

"In this work, variants of the classic Deffuant model without spatial restriction are presented. The importance of the model parameters in obtaining results is investigated. In these variants, the tolerance parameter d of the model is modified to include realism; furthermore, the model is extended to small-world and scale-free networks. It is concluded that tolerance and network structure are the main contributors to the type of result of each realization, with the variant called the Unbalanced Deffuant Model on a scale-free network showing more realism. This variant exhibits that hub nodes attract the opinion of other agents, demonstrating fragmentation and polarization."

"En este trabajo se presentan variantes del modelo de Deffuant clásico sin restricción espacial, se indaga sobre la importancia de los parámetros del modelo en la obtención de resultados, en estas variantes se modifica la tolerancia del modelo d para incluir realismo; a su vez, se extiende el modelo a redes de mundo pequeño y de escala libre. Se concluye que la tolerancia y la estructura de la red son los principales contribuyentes en el tipo de resultado de cada realización, mostrando más realismo la variante llamada Modelo de Deffuant desbalanceado en una red de escala libre, exhibiendo que los nodos concentradores atraen la opinión de los demás agentes, mostrando fragmentación y polarización."
